On April 7, 2019, 14 colleagues of our Board member Markus Nielbock from the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy (MPIA) ran a half marathon in Heidelberg as a charity run. The annual running event organized by TSG 78 Heidelberg is a major event in which several thousand participants cover a distance of a good 21 km. The 14 runners called for donations for the project "Milly's Mission against BPAN", a fundraising initiative by Hoffnungsbaum members Rebecca and Markus Nielbock.

Employees were asked to donate an amount for each kilometer they ran per person in order to boost the motivation of all participants to reach the finish line. All 14 were successful. The proceeds of € 2279.00 will go to BPAN research.
